Rincón, Puerto Rico is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. With its warm, clear water, beautiful coral reefs, rolling green mountains, proximity to nature and overall laidback vibe — it’s a popular destination for many surfers, divers, nature lovers, artists seeking inspiration, and adventure-seeking families. For being a relatively small town, there is much to see and do here in Rincón! 

What began on our Instagram page as monthly #SmallBusinessSaturday posts featuring local businesses, has now turned into blog posts, like this one, that can also function as a vacation guide for travelers and guests that are looking to support the many amazing local businesses of Rincón!

SURF LESSONS & ECO-TOURS:

RD 2 HAPPINESS

One of Rincón’s original surf schools, Rd2Happiness has grown over the years and now offers rentals, surf lessons & guides, eco tours and the newly founded Waves2Happiness Summer Camp Series.

Short-term and long-term rentals are available for all of your beach needs through either their Maria’s Beach location (our neighbors!) or at the Sandy Beach location. Private & group surf lessons are available for all ability levels. Experienced surfers can also inquire about professional surf guides.

With Rd2Happiness you can also explore the island with their private tours to La Parguera for snorkeling or evening trips to the bioluminescent bay, guided waterfall eco tours, and paddleboard tours over the Tres Palmas Marine Reserve.

Their most recent project has been the Waves2Happiness summer camp series. More than just a surf camp, Waves2Happiness is about empowering kids, building community, and creating lifelong connections between the youth and the ocean.

CENTRO LA PAZ

Centro La Paz is a sanctuary of wellness nestled in Rincón with a team of mindful practitioners empowering both locals and globetrotters to discover tranquility within their minds and strength within their bodies.

Their offerings include an array of transformative experiences, from Private and Group Yoga classes to invigorating Private and Group Pilates sessions. RINCÓN FITNESS CENTER & RECOVERY ROOM

With skilled coaches and a welcoming community, Rincón Fitness Center, home of CrossFit Rincón, offers a full schedule of group classes, including: CrossFit, Kickboxing, SWEAT, Hyrox Training, Move & Flow, and Athletic Recovery. STOKED RINCÓN

Just steps from our front door, Stoked is a cafe & surf shop featuring local coffee, delicious bowls, toasts and sandwiches, along with local art, jewelry, t-shirts, surfboards, and other essential beach gear. ¡Inspirado en el surf, nacido en Rincón! They are open at Maria’s Beach 7 days a week.

SUMMER LOVE JEWELRY & BOUTIQUE

Summer Love Boutique features locally-made jewelry for beach lovers along with local art, clothing, beach goods, and unique gifts. Private jewelry making workshops are also offered — turn your beach treasures into wearable art! This workshop is a favorite amongst our guests.

Summer Love is located in Barrio Puntas, next to the Juice Box, just a short drive from the Villa.

THE JUICE BOX

The team at The Juice Box Rincón is passionate about serving fresh, natural, and delicious options that fuel your body and brighten your day. They source as many local fruits, vegetables, and superfoods as possible, and when local isn’t an option, they turn to organic & high-quality brands to ensure every sip and bite is nourishing and free from any unnecessary additives.

What started with ocean-inspired designs on t-shirts has now evolved into high-quality board shorts, rash guards, hats, women’s apparel, swimwear, and more.

Studio Salitre is a creative team specializing in lifestyle, branding, and surf photography.

Anna & Darren both grew up in Puerto Rico. They eventually crossed paths and bonded over their mutual love for surfing, the ocean, photography, and adventure. Creating is a passion they share with each other.

Anna Posada has over six years of experience in photography and content creation optimized for social media and has worked with an array of brands, including beverage companies and apparel brands. Darren Muschett enjoyed a professional surfing career for 12 years before turning to photography, where his work has been featured in Surfing Magazine, Surfer, Eastern Surf Magazine, and has experience shooting for surf companies and professional surfing events alike.

An artist and surfer, Albert Padilla is inspired by the nature and culture of his home, Puerto Rico. Albert specializes in creating beautiful custom murals, paintings, signs, and handprinted shirts, hats, and mugs. Truly one-of-a-kind pieces and gifts your yourself and for loved ones!
