While widely known for its world-class surfing beaches, beautiful coral reefs for diving and snorkeling, and for its breathtaking sunsets, there are also many other unique and interesting things to do and discover during your vacation to Rincón. We gathered some feedback from recent guests and put together this list of unique activities and experiences that you might not find on most other travel websites.

So whether you’re traveling with your family or a group of friends, here for a surfing vacation, wellness retreat, or just an all-around relaxing stay – check out these three unique activities during your next visit to Rincón!

1. Take a ‘Beach Gem Jewelry Class’ at Summer Love

Beach Gem Jewelry Making Class at Summer Love.

If you love spending hours searching the beaches for sea glass and sea shells, then this class is for you! Beach Gem Jewelry Classes are private workshops hosted by Ariana of Summer Love Jewelry + Boutique (next door to The Juice Box!). In these workshops, you’ll learn how to drill sea glass and shells to make your own unique necklace out of your beach finds – turning your beach treasures into wearable art!

These workshops are a favorite amongst many of our guests and are a great option for kids, families, and groups of friends, leaving you each with a truly unique souvenir that you made!

and cold plunge to boost your energy and optimize your recovery. Rincón Recovery Room features two contrast therapy rooms – a private, single-person room and a private room for group contrast therapy, for up to 3 people. After your contrast therapy session you can enjoy a coffee, matcha, electrolyte refresher, or protein-packed smoothie from their cafe, or book additional sessions like athletic therapy and massage or chiropractic care. Group class passes and private training sessions are also available through the sister business, Rincón Fitness Center. This is a great option for groups of friends or wellness retreats and is very popular amongst our surfing guests looking to recover post-swell.

Check out the Rincón Recovery Room website for reservations & for more information about their services and be sure to follow @RinconRecoveryRoom & @RinconFitnessCenter on Instagram.

3. Tour the Farm or Volunteer at Plenitud PR

Tour the Farm or Volunteer with Plenitud PR

Nestled in the mountains of Las Marias (about a 1-hour drive from Maria’s Luxury Villa), Plenitud PR’s 15-acre demonstration farm and teaching center is home to vibrant food forests, tropical fruit trees, flower and herb gardens, vegetable greenhouses, animal husbandry areas, and the beautiful Arenas River.

On their guided walking tour, you’ll see firsthand how they integrate agroecology, permaculture, bioconstruction, and rainwater harvesting into daily farm life. Depending on the season, you may also have the chance to harvest fresh fruits and vegetables to enjoy as part of your farm-to-table vegetarian lunch, prepared with ingredients from our farm and other local growers.

Other experiences at Plenitud PR include customizable, immersive service learning trips for groups interested in sustainability, permaculture, and collaborative work as well as volunteer opportunities to contribute to initiatives like community gardens, rainwater installations, partner farm support, and activities with elders and youth.
